Hello: The name of my favorite subject so far in  university is neurocrine regulation of the reproductive system, it deals with the regulation of the reproductive system of both men and women through two important systems, the nervous and endocrine, developing a fundamental role in the process. All the associated concepts are also studied. I enjoy this subject because I find the topic interesting and the perfect mechanisms that the body possesses so that everything works excellently, working together. What I have learned is the physiology of the reproductive system of women and men, the difference of the endocrine and neuronal system, some of these are the main component, communication pathways, speed and duration of responses among others. Also the follicular development, the cells and factors that regulate it, spermatogenesis and their respective cells, what I have found most interesting is the intrinsic nervous system of the reproductive system and the participation of t...

Hello: The expert's name is Pablo Valenzuela. I admire this person because he is a biochemist graduated from the University of Chile with a great career, several studies that helped contribute to health worldwide and won a national award. Pablo made the first vaccine against hepatitis B and the discovery of the virus that causes hepatitis C, thanks to his great technological impact. He also cloned and sequenced the genome of the AIDS virus at the biotechnology company Chiron Corporation. He is a Biochemist from the University of Chile, PhD in Chemistry from Northwestern University and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California in San Francisco, he is a pioneer of industrial biotechnology. He founded the biotechnology company Chiron in 1981, together with Dr. William Rutter and Dr. Edward Penhoet, and was until 1994 the Vice President of Research and Development.   Hello everyone: The specialization in biochemistry can affect the world in a very positive and direct way due to research in different fields, it has allowed us to get closer to the basis of life, thanks to the various media of scientific dissemination, we can know how our body works, especially in times of pandemic where the task of biochemists is essential because without their intervention there would be no diagnosis that allows a projection of the disease. In this process I see myself with a great motivation to learn and perform the work of a biochemist, it is very interesting. Besides, I want to do a doctorate and research outside Chile to be able to contribute in a better way since in this country science is not highly valued. What makes the biochemistry specialty contribute to the world are the biological and chemical investigations to the organism from a molecular point of view that can contribute in different areas such as health, biotechnology, mining, agriculture...

Hello I love this picture, it was taken by my brother in law, it shows my family gathered at the entrance of an-Island, called Aucar, Island of the  souls Navigators, Chiloé. It was taken on summer vacation in February 2019, I don't remember specifically the day. I like the picture because it captures my family happy in a place with beautiful scenery, cozy atmosphere and full of peace also have been the best vacation since we toured different tourist attractions of Chiloé as Aucar Island, the circuits of churches, which are national heritage, the pier of souls, the penguin colony of Puñihuil, Trauco night tour, among others. Aucar is a small island near Quemchi, in a northern commune of Chiloé. It is also called "The island of the souls Navigators, " because a well-known Chilean writer, born and raised in this place, Francisco Coloane; he baptized it this way because he assimilated the island as a place where the dead were buried, waiting to sail someday. The island...

hello   I love food and the different flavors of this, so it is difficult to define a favorite meal, but I will choose it for its simplicity and is rice with some accompaniment, its preparation depends on each person, first in the pot add garlic, onion, carrot all chopped, then a little oil and let it fry for a moment. Then we add 2 cups of rice and 4 cups of water, depends on how many people will eat, finally, we cook it for 30 minutes and serve it Mmmmmm delicious rice! I like it too much because it is super fast, easy to prepare and its flavor is rich. Eating rice in moderation and a balanced diet does not alter our health, however, in excess it can cause alterations in our health because it has a lot of carbohydrates and the excess of these in the body can alter the glucose metabolism and insulin production.

Hello everyone My favorite technological object is cell phone, new generations are very technological, therefore the cell phone has been present in my life of about 4 years, but before they did not have as many applications as today. The cell phone has many  functionalities and it is difficult to describe them all, but for me the most important functions are the speed and ease with which information is searched on the web and camera, to be able to capture unforgettable moments and remember them. I use this object most of the day, especially now that online mode exists, it keeps me updated thanks to the university application. I like it because I can search for several things on the web and thanks to apps like WhatsApp I can stay connected with friends and family. For me, life without cell phone would be a bit boring, but so I can be more sociable since I'm often looking at the cell phone and I don't share it with the rest of the people, I think this situation happens to most pe...

Hello everyone When I was little I had a carefree ideal life just playing and watching movies, my favorite was the lion king. The job of my dreams was to belong to the Chilean army only out of admiration for a person who spoke very well of his work. Upon applying for the university program he   I had several options in mind such as medicine, biochemistry and bachelor's degree in history. I decided on biochemistry because I like research so I can contribute to society with scientific knowledge. I would also like to do professorships at a university to guide and motivate students who choose this program. My experience in university has not been good since by the pandemic the classes are online and I have no university experience, besides I still do not organize with the times leaving everything for the last minute and this causes a lot of stress
